  Take my dog there all the time (used to take my kids when they were younger). We love it! Can choose to chill,swim,play or explore. Warning though- with each flood the landscape changes,often significantly. Places we used to walk to easily are now too overgrown to allow easy access. Snakes can also be a worry off the beaten track....

  Hawkesbury locals have treasured this location for years. It has basic facilities such as barbeque areas, picnic tables and a pit toilet. It is one of the only decent natural swimming locations in the area and is a beautiful place to go exploring up stream. It is relatively well maintained by council and has excellent car access. The river bank does unfortunately get a bit messy at times, not only from people but also from debris, weeds and mud.

  A great shallow spot in the river to take kids paddling. Be prepared for crowds and pets. Also when we've gone it can smell of cow poo. Othwerwise very scenic.
